This Privacy Policy explains what information Rainloop (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects through the Rainloop mobile application and the rainloop.app website (together, the “Service”), how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Information we collect

Account information. When you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture (if available) from the sign-in provider. With Sign in with Apple you can choose to hide your email address.

Profile content. Information you add yourself, such as a display name or profile photo.

Usage data. Content you interact with in the app, such as favorite sounds, saved mixes, listening history, onboarding preferences (for example, your sleep and relaxation goals), and downloaded sounds. We use this to sync your library across devices and personalize your experience.

Purchase information. If you subscribe to Rainloop Premium, our subscription-management provider (RevenueCat) processes a receipt from the App Store or Google Play to confirm your entitlement. We do not receive or store your payment card details; payments are handled entirely by Apple or Google.

Device and diagnostic data. Basic technical information such as device model, operating system version, app version, and crash reports, used to keep the Service reliable.

2. How we use information

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Service;
• Sync your favorites, mixes, and preferences across devices;
• Verify premium entitlements and manage subscriptions;
• Diagnose crashes and technical issues;
• Respond to support requests;
• Comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your data for third-party advertising.

3. Service providers

We rely on a small number of processors to operate the Service:

• Google Firebase (Google LLC) — authentication, cloud database, and file storage for your account data, preferences, and profile photo;
• RevenueCat — subscription entitlement management;
• Apple App Store / Google Play — payment processing for subscriptions.

These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments. Your data may be processed on servers located outside your country; where required, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

4. Data retention

We keep your account data for as long as your account exists. If you delete your account, we delete your personal information from our production systems within 30 days, except where retention is required by law. Sounds downloaded for offline use are stored only on your device and are removed when you delete the app.

5. Your rights and choices

• Access and portability — ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
• Correction — update your display name and profile photo directly in the app;
• Deletion— delete your account in the app’s profile settings or by contacting us, which removes your account data as described above;
• Objection and restriction — where applicable law (such as the GDPR or CCPA) grants them, you may object to or restrict certain processing.

6. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

7. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and security rules that restrict your data to your own account. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or by other reasonable means before the changes take effect. The “Last updated” date at the top shows the latest revision.
