Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Rainloop mobile application and the rainloop.app website (together, the “Service”), operated by Rainloop (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By downloading, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Rainloop provides ambient sounds, soundscapes, and audio-mixing tools intended for relaxation, focus, and sleep. The Service is a wellness and relaxation tool only. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. If you have a sleep disorder, anxiety condition, or other health concern, consult a qualified healthcare professional.

2. Accounts

Some features require an account created through a supported sign-in provider (such as Google or Apple). You are responsible for safeguarding access to your account and for all activity that occurs under it. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to create an account.

3. Subscriptions and payments

• Rainloop offers an optional premium subscription (“Rainloop Premium”) billed monthly or annually.
• All purchases are processed by Apple’s App Store or Google Play, not by us directly. Billing, renewal, and refunds are governed by the applicable store’s terms.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your App Store or Google Play account settings.
• Prices may change with reasonable advance notice; changes apply from your next billing period.

4. License and acceptable use

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes. You agree not to:

• copy, extract, redistribute, resell, or publicly perform the audio content available in the Service;
• reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the app, except where permitted by law;
• use the Service in any way that violates applicable law or interferes with its operation or security.

5. Intellectual property

The Service, including all audio recordings, soundscapes, software, design, and branding, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or content beyond the license described above. Mixes you create within the app are configurations of our licensed content and may be stored with your account for your personal use.

6. Safety notice

Do not use the Service in situations that require your full attention, such as driving or operating machinery. Listen at moderate volume; prolonged exposure to high volume can damage hearing.

7. Availability and changes

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, including adding or removing sounds and features. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of material changes that adversely affect paid features.

8. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitations of liability) will survive.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will produce any particular wellness outcome.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data or profits, arising from your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or ten US dollars if you have paid nothing.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or by other reasonable means before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
